Katy Internal Medicine Associates, L.L.P.
Dr. Roger E. Campana acquired his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry at Baylor University. Dr. Campana received his Medical Doctorate from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He has been a member of the Medical Staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital since 2011. Dr. Campana helped with the development and growth of the Hospitalist Service at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.
He has been an active member of several Committees and is currently a member of the Medical Executive Committee, Medical Staff Credentials Committee, Peer Review Committee, and Utilization Review Committee. He has pursued leadership positions within the community and in the hospital system. Dr. Campana is the former Chair of the Medicine Department at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. He served as the Chief of Staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Rehabilitation Hospital and is currently the Acting Chief of Staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.
Dr. Campana is originally from Peru and grew up in Katy, Texas, where he met his wife, Serena. They have four children. He loves to mentor and precept students from medical schools and nurse practitioner programs. He enjoys playing and watching sports, cooking, eating a good BBQ, and stargazing with his telescope.
Joining KIMA in 2002, Dr. Chung is board-certified in Internal Medicine with special interests in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and preventative medicine.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1995 from the University of Oklahoma’s Health Science Center in Oklahoma City, OK, with a Major in Microbiology and a Minor in Biochemistry.
Dr. Chung also completed 3 years of post-graduate training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, and is the former Chief of Staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital and Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital in Katy, TX. He currently serves as Medical Director at Accredited Hospices of America.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Kalapatapu is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He earned his B.S. in chemical engineering before enrolling in the AUC School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency in Chicago, IL, before finishing his medical residency in Savannah, GA.
Dr. Kalapatapu is the Medical Director of the West Harris County Emergency Medical Services Department, Chief of Staff at Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital in Katy, and serves on the Peer Review and Medical Executive Committee at Memorial Hermann, also in Katy, TX.
Dr. Mehta joined KIMA in August 2000. Dr. Mehta earned his Medical Degree from MP Shah Medical College (a college associated with Saurashtra University in Jamnagar, India) in 1986. He worked at St. John Episcopal Hospital, affiliated with the State University of New York, Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, and with Mount Sinai School of Medicine at North General Hospital in NY. Dr. Mehta worked as a research assistant at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, as part of his post-graduate experience.
Dr. Mehta is Board-certified in Internal Medicine with special interests in diabetes, geriatrics, cardiovascular diseases, and preventative medicine. Before joining KIMA, Dr. Mehta practiced at the Hamilton Medical Group in Lafayette, La, from 1993 to 2000. Dr. Mehta has served as Chief of Staff at the Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital and the Memorial Hermann Katy.
Dr. Solis, Jr. received his B.S. degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, before completing his medical education at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. His internship and residency were in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
Board-certified since 1992, Dr. Solis, Jr. received the AMA Physicians Recognition Award, 2002 – 2005, as well as several honors in Pulmonary Medicine, Neurology, Nephrology, and Critical Care. Dr. Solis has recently obtained certification in Peptide Therapy and Applied Quantum Biology. He served as Chief of Staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital and is the President of the Katy American Heart Association.
Dr. Thomas received her Medical Degree from Kottayam Medical College, Kerala, India, in 2003. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Resurrection Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park, IL, in 2009. During her residency program, Dr. Thomas received the John E. Martin Research Excellence Award for high HDL cholesterol in COPD patients.
Dr. Thomas is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and has served since 2016 as a Hospitalist managing inpatients and complicated critical care ICU patients at the Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. She also served as a Hospitalist at St. Francis Hospital, Cape Girardeau, MO, from 2009 to 2016. Dr. Thomas is the current Chief of Staff at the Memorial Hermann Katy Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Thomas has a special interest in Preventive Medicine, Geriatrics, and Diabetes management. She is married, has 3 children, and lives in Katy. She enjoys reading, biking, and pickleball.
Jaqueline Richard is a Certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (American Nurse Credentialing Center) and licensed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse. She specializes in osteoporosis, diabetes, gerontology, and palliative care. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Before obtaining her Master’s degree, Jaqueline worked for over 10 years as a hospice nurse and is passionate about supporting independence in aging and prioritizing quality of life. Jaqueline is a wife, mother of two boys ages 8 and 9, and lives in Katy. She and her family are members of the Epiphany Catholic Church. Jaqueline enjoys gardening, crafts, and cooking in her free time.
Alejandra joined KIMA in November 2025. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Baylor University and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Alejandra is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
Alejandra is a native Houstonian and brings nine (9) years of RN experience, including five (5) years in a high-acuity Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Houston Methodist Hospital. She holds a certification in Post Anesthesia Nursing from the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing. Alejandra is a compassionate, bilingual provider committed to the delivery of holistic, patient-centered care.
