Sometimes further testing is required to uncover the cause of an underlying problem or condition. The team at Katy Internal Medicine Associates (KIMA) has access to lab services and advanced diagnostic imaging and radiology to help identify medical issues. Some diagnostics such as routine blood work, EKGs and others are performed on-site. Other tests involving x-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound and other modalities need to be performed at other facilities. We’ll work with you to find an option that is conveniently located and affordable.

For our patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma, autoimmune disorders and other ongoing illnesses, our healthcare providers will monitor and treat your disease. We feel it is important for those with chronic or on-going medical ailments to have a dedicated healthcare provider – someone who understands the complexities involved with managing complicated illnesses – monitoring medication interactions, making recommendations and adjusting treatments.

Our KIMA physicians like to be involved in your care before a disease occurs so we can advise you on health and wellness issues and help you make lifestyle changes that can prevent a problem from progressing. We recommend annual or biannual physicals as an important aspect of preventative care.
